Smre technology at Cern in Geneva

Milan (AIMnews.it) - Smre supplied a machine capable of cutting composite materials, including pre-impregnated carbon fibre at CERN, the European organisation for nuclear research based in Geneva. To test, cut and stress these materials, Cern has thus created a laboratory with a cutting plotter SM-381-TA, designed and built by the Umbrian company of AIM. Numerous tests are carried out every day in the Geneva laboratory, thanks also to the two cutting technologies of the Smre machine, which allow Cern physicists and engineers to cut different materials, if necessary. "It is really a boost for our group to have been chosen as partners by the largest research laboratory in Europe - said Samuele Mazzini, CEO of Smre - A sign that the high technology and the quality-price ratio of our products will be rewarded even at the highest levels".
