GPI, the Farmaprice project is being developed

MILANO (AIMnews.it) - The Farmaprice project, developed by GPI - through its subsidiary Insiel Mercato - in Friuli, in collaboration with the Irccs Cro of Aviano and Promeditec and the coordination of the Technological Pole of Pordenone, has entered the development phase. The aim is to innovate the prescribing process of oncological drugs by providing physicians with a computer platform for the management of molecular patient data, to allow a more stringent control of health expenditure, greater efficacy of drug therapy, control of treatment outcomes and the insertion of appropriate criteria. "The Farmaprice project is a concrete and important step forward towards a new concept of personalised medicine, because it is calibrated to the patient's genomic data, thus avoiding to give patients ineffective or even harmful drugs, with consequent worsening effects, and instead a therapeutic path is created with beneficial effects also in terms of healthcare costs" explained Lorenzo Montermini, Director of Strategies, Marketing and Communication of GPI. The project had been considered by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region to be of particular scientific interest for clinical and technological innovations and admitted as an eligible project.
